CHAVIN DE HUANTAR:

Early breakfast at the hotel at 08:00 am pickup southbound to exit the Callejon de Huaylas , drive to the archaeological ruins at Chavin ( 3140m/10 , 299ft ) . On the way we pass places like Ticapampa , known for its mining and Huaylas known for its cheese production , taking Cátac forwarding , then we will stop to visit Querococha Lake ( 3900m/12 , 792ft ) located within the Cordillera Blanca , then cross the tunnel and reach Cahuish area Conchucos until Chavin .

 

Visit the archaeological complex sandeel gallery , gallery mazes, double bracket , sunken circular plaza , square, square head nails , Tello Obelisk , the porch of the Falcons .

 

Visit the National Museum of the site to view these magnificent structures .

 

Comfortable clothes for walking , insect repellent , camera, and 1-2 refillable water bottles are recommended. Rain gear is also recommended during the rainy season ( December to March) and equipment for cold weather ( warm jacket , thermal , hat and gloves ) is recommended for the dry season (especially June to August) .
