Huaraz has a great geological variety that amazes with high peaks, like the Huascaran (6.768 m.a.s.l.), hundreds of mirror like lakes and picturesque valleys such as the Callejon de Huaylas. Paths surrounded by eucalyptus and Retama flowers meander through the Andean highlands taking you up to the archeological site of Chavin de Huantar.

The city of Huaraz has a dry and moderate climate. The wet season lasts from November until March.
