Peru is located at the western side of South America. Its territory has boundaries with Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile. It is sovereign over 1.285.215 km2 of territory and 991.194,97 km² of sea the Pacific Ocean, as well as over 60 million hectares in the Antarctic.

It has an enormous variety of landscapes thanks to its geographical conditions, which on its turn grant a large array of natural recourses.
